New Zealand Extends Access to a Breast-Cancer Medicine in Private Clinics
On 23 October, the government confirmed that Pharmac would extend the transitional funding limit for pertuzumab with trastuzumab, known as Phesgo, for eligible patients receiving treatment in private clinics. The change is expected to help around 15 patients who may exceed the previous 12-month limit in the next 6–12 months; no new medicine-contract price was disclosed, while healthcare providers and research organisations can explore clinical-data analysis and secure health information systems with HPC quotations based on technical requirements.
