Croatia's €100 Million Varaždin Investment Programme Supports Cultural and Visitor Facilities

On 28 October 2026, Varaždin secured a €25 million loan from the European Investment Bank towards an approximately €100 million programme covering cultural and sports facilities, schools, public buildings and greener public spaces. The investment is designed to improve local services and quality of life, with potential benefits for the city's wider visitor economy. No separate tourism budget was disclosed.
